PowerMac G5 Dual 1,8 GHz June 2004
Announced in June 2004, The PowerMac G5 (June 2004) represented a speed-bump of the existing PowerMac G5 line. The only major technological improvement was made on the high-end model, which ran so hot it required a new liquid-cooling system. Faster graphics cards and optical drives were also included in all models. The PowerMac G5 (June 2004) was sold in three configurations:
the dual 1.8 GHz model, with 256 MB of RAM and an 80 GB hard drive, sold for $1,999.
the dual 2.0 GHz model, with 512 MB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive, sold for $2,499.
the dual 2.5 GHz model, with 512 MB of RAM and a 160 GB hard drive, sold for $2,999.
In October 2004, Apple added a single 1.8 GHz model, with 256 MB of RAM and an 80 GB hard drive, for $1499.
